    cant wait till tommz to get this.. should be interesting.. btw ned wont be able to play on fri night as i got a LAN..

    Seriously though, at least they're on top of things.

    not quite on top of things...

    patching in response to the feedback about an illegally leaked beta that they claimed was not the final release then later admitted it was (and offered a patch to make it the "retail version").

    Every day I try to convince myself that online gaming is not dead. :(

    Release 19th Aug in Australia, 21st in Europe.
    They were originally going to release it from 4th August, but held it up saying they want it to be simultaneous world wide.

    There's usually a long gap between a game 'going gold' where the masters are sent for duplication and the boxed product going on sale, so I'm not surprised they've got a patch ready.
    I read that they fired staff who developed the multi-player. Makes you wonder if one of them was angry enough to leak the product to hurt the company.

    All the same, it's a big shame when a game gets pirated before release because it really hits sales at the peak in the cycle, choking the industry.
