Looks great, but will have to wait and see, long time till release for that one alot can happen. As a big Warhammer fan when I was younger, will be good to see an mmorpg of it made

Awesome didn't know there were screenshots out and a sneak peek cinematic to boot. We'll even have a new Warhammer RTS to tide us over in the mean time too. Just hope the PvP isn't as harsh as Lineage 2 and a bit more balanced.

Considering how much I enjoyed DAoC, I can't imagine at least not trying this in beta or launch.

Ah, PvP with a purpose. Nice to see they are implementing more PvP questing / xping elements than even DAoC has. Now, if they can just make crafting useful.......

Sweet, this is really shaping up nicely. A year to wait but I'll spend it dropping pennies in the 'next years gfx card' bottle :p

BTW Grue, your name first made me think of Runequest, but no, its the immortal Paranoia! The Computer IS your friend :D

L2's PvP is harsh only because of the death penalties. Most games have no death penalty or drastically reduce it for PvP deaths. Otherwise, it puts a huge damper on the PvP fun. I highly doubt they will follow L2's lame lead. I'd expect they would try and mimic DAoC which has been hugely successful for them. I'm expecting WH to be something like DAoC on a modern engine with a bit of stolen stuff from WoW thrown in.

Oh, don't let the Warhammer fans hear that.......they get touchy about the lore side of things. I swear some of them spend days just finding more things to say about Blizzard

I can't speak to the Lineage 2 PvP other than I found it kinda pointless and unrestricted. Something that just begs to be griefed.

DAoC crafting boring? You don't think sinking hundreds of hours next to a merchant and crafting table is exciting? OK, well, after getting to LGM SC and Alchemist, I must admit it was the most tedious thing I've ever done in a game......

And then I made a WC :) Well, if you know what I'm talking about there, then you know what I want improved over the old crafting system of DAoC. EQ2's crafting system seemed interesting, other than they were nerfing crafted items to be sub par their raiding gear *sigh* If I never see another 40 man PvE raid again, it will be a lifetime too soon still.

Here here.. 40-mans SUCK SUCK SUCK!

There's not that much griefing in L2. You lose 6% XP every time you die--regardless. And if you kill someone that doesn't flag by fighting back, you go red. If your PK count goes over 5, you risk popping like a pinata when you die and dropping gear valued at an insane amount because of the pathetic drop rates. It's extremely rare that you will see anyone randomly griefing--extremely rare.

What you do see is clan based conflicts, but that's the whole point of the game. However, the game is an awful, horrid, extremely bad grind. If you've played other games, it's not likely you would be willing to stomach it.
