    Them too ;)

I've been quite enjoying it but have a couple of serious frustrations with multi-player:

    1. It's too easy to predict the outcome of a round based on ranks. The weapon unlocks really make a difference

    2. The jetpack equipped melee marines seem hugely over powered.

But it's a fun game and I do like the customisation :)

A word on my memory leak/FPS degrade issue.

Seems if you have a game controller of some kind plugged in - in my case a Saitek X52Pro HOTAS - this somehow degrades performance over time.
I have unplugged my joystick from the USB and it seems stable now.

i was using the wireless 360 controller though i did have afew times where the game slowed but i put that to the fact when run eyefinity mode you end up with 3 screens running the same game.

well it looks like you have to add people to your friends list to send them an invite at least that's what I've found.

and at least the p2p hosting is better then the p2p hosting for cod4mw2,though it would still be alot better if they just used dedicated server's.

Does anyone know if levelling can be achieved in a privately hosted game among steam friends?

Yes it can be done. First thing Bishop and I did when we stated was to just have a go at the game, get used to speed controls etc. End result was we both picked up several levels.

If people are interested, one night this week after 9pm aussie time I would be happy to start a match off my connection, and invite everyone in. Thursday or Friday would be best for me, but let everyone have a say.

Also, if you want an invite - send me a steam invite and add me as a friend.

Got in last night with Camdy and Bishp, and some servers had the ping as rubbish, others were good, had some good games.

As for comms, we should use something be it vent, mumble or teamspeak - bishop and I have access to a vent server we use now that might do it, if not then a TOG one. Be more fun if we were laughing at each other.

what's wrong with in game speech? or you want to laugh at / taunt opponents ?

You can also get some of the weapon levels in private matches. I got the stalker bolter headshots one that way.

I HATE the in game voice - no ability to turn it off, unless you mute others, no PTT. Reason is I have a bad chest infection atm, and unless you want to hear me coughing into the mic, or hear my son come screaming around me as well. Or my wife for that matter.

Basically I like PTT - and in game does not have that...so I say use the TOG TS.

The latest patch adds a 'mute all' button as well as enabling a 'push to talk' option.

Tried looking for the power sword DLC on steam, as described in the load customiser (steam purchase), but there is none. Any ideas?
