EB are selling UT2K4 for $60 at the moment... not the DVD edition though. They're saying it's 25% off but that's the RRP of $80 where I paid $70 for pre-ordering it.

:D :D I know that feeling. It is a bargain at $59.99 (I got mine yesterday) and it is not too much of a pain to install off the 6 cds (although how 6 cds can be cheaper that one dvd is beyond me).

Excellent game, and well worth getting.

Yep, it's only the one time you need to use the CDs and if you apply the very first patch then you don't need to keep the Play CD in your CD drawer... I've never heard of anyone else building in their no NoCD crack into their software. :)

Indeed. Lots of kudos to Epic for this - a small reward for their supporters regardless of the warez monkeys.

    To me it's sensible...
They spend a gazzilion dollars in disc security to have it cracked within a couple of days.

Having the serial key system means that it can be updated quite regularly.

Well it's really only a boon for single player mode, as soon as you try and get online the master server slaps your wrist for not having a unique key.

The attitude of the developer and the publisher for this series of games is wonderful. They patch fast, they released a bloody solid game to begin with, their servers are good and the community is excellent. Nice to see a games developer get the whole package RIGHT for a change! :D
