So the Hotrod is in the beta:

Found several parts myself, had to look up the other parts but trying to get to some still wasn't easy.
What I find weird about this car are the exhausts: there are 4 on each side of the bonnet, and 2 in the back, and they all light up when you use nitro.

Wow!...I was wondering what it was going to look like. I stumbled upon quite a few parts myself, and assumed there would be a guide to find them all (but not so soon!).

I went on ahead and bought the 370Z to pair with my Mustang (since I could not afford the Skyline), just to compare them at similar builds (163 rating)...and still find the GT an overall better car for my driving style. Perhaps I'm just more used to the Ford at this point.

I admit I'm a bit confused as to whether completing challenges twice at gold level etc will either send the part back to the garage, or grant in-game currency. It costs me almost 25k to equip my Nissan (after purchase), and that is entirely too much for an additional street-spec starter car...even if I did receive an achievement for it. In the future, I will save money for the better/more exotic cars.

Additionally, I've noticed huge (HUGE) advantages in some challenges depending on the car-spec you choose (the mobile garage is very handy here)...my Dirt Mustang is horrifying on anything except dirt roads and off-road...understandably, but absolutely necessary in some challenges for Gold rewards.

    Here I am...rambling on again...so I'll just post more pic's.
This time my Dirt-spec Mustang and newer Street 370Z...just for fun.
(I will never, EVER put flames on my car):

Not too exaggerated like in the Fast & Furious movies.

So i went and preordered it.. must admit as a racing game fan, it pulled enough strings to have me spend some cash.

    Did anyone else preorder?,

I'd been following the progress for quite some time and had applied for beta access months ago, and then (impatiently) pre-ordered not two or three hours before the 30,000 beta keys were offered. I don't regret it one bit, however, and the the "Limited Edition" comes standard with the pre-order (including 3 cars and some parts for the launch)...certainly seems worth it.

I found it perfectly playable (and even relaxing...reclining with feet up) with the 360 controller, but if I want to be more aggressive, especially in PvP races, I might find it necessary to invest in a good wheel (e.g. G27, which seems highly recommended).

Well i already have a G27, but a game like this?, unless you always play from inside or hood view, ye olde Xbox controller is better.

Now that is very useful information! No need to toss ~ $£€200 for hardware I likely won't need. :)

    +rep for you mate!

I always use chase view, and I prefer a wheel for it. But I have a Logitech Ferrari wheel, not a G27.

Here's what I mean about the Hotrod on nitro:

Flames coming out of the front and rear exhausts.

It seems to heavily favour the chopped 1933 Ford hot rod...most notably recognised as the ZZ Top "Eliminator" (minus the exhaust pipes). I suspect we will be able to earn other kits in different regions as well, Curious as to what those might be.

You can't tune the Hotrod into a differend spec. To get the Dirt-spec hotrod, you have to find all kitcar parts in (I guess) the east, because the dirt-spec tuner in in New York.
The car list in your HQ showed a Raid spec buggy kitcar, and the Hotrod for the other specs.

Visual turning for the Hotrod included the round fender like in the picture, different running boards and a tailgate without spare tire.
Haven't looked at stickers, 'cause I don't like stickers on a car.

I uploaded a short clip to youtube that I recorded during the beta, which shows it was just a beta: (Sound cuts off at around 20 seconds)
