Sad news indeed but I'm not surprised either. Now it looks like if I'll have to choose between GW2 and TERA,GW2 wins all the way.

Same. I am really liking the look of GW2. I had hoped Tera would come out around now so I could try it. Now I am just hanging for GW2.

A shame to hear about this delay... but it may actually work in their favour. With GW2 and Star Wars due to be released at the end of this year/early next year if TERA came out too it would have been overshadowed. This way it gives those two games their time to have their populations settle down and then mid next year when people may be looking for something new then THIS would be ready for release.

I think Tera still has a good chance. But I think their problem in Korea is almost the same problem that FFXIV had in English markets. It was unfinished. in the current age of MMOs that just doesn't work anymore.

Which seems to be a large part why the main english distributor has pushed their release all the way into spring of next year. In order for the game to fill in some of the gaps it has in its home market. The downside is its a long wait still :( the upside when it is released to english markets it will be a different game from how it was released in Korea.

Introduction video to the new Political system introduced to TERA.
There seems to be two ways to gain favour - Popular Vote and Battlefields

all for the path of becoming a Vanarch. There is also mention in the Wiki of a rank Exarch, and a small blurb, that a Vanarch will rule a province - however an Exarch will run the subsequent Continent. meaning about 4 exarchs and 20 something or close to 30 Vanarchs in TERA.

It is quite interesting - I think the popular vote Vanarchs may last longer than the Battlefield ones, since they may be more oriented towards the needs of the province and thus will run on reputation after a while. but who knows.

Here is a section of the Ploitical post from the TERA Forums, with updates from what information has been dropped over the past few months. Last update to it was about end of September, thanks to JKWENGERT.

So parts are a good read, others are just recycling of stuff we already knew.

There are ways to do it (I assume you mean to get into Korean servers), but fairly sure it's not allowed. And involves using RMT companies for access.

I haven't bothered, am happy (ish) to wait.
