I just did at least 4 strikes in a row and it kept going. I had to bail since I need food.

AFAIK I got no Vanguard marks/rep for it. :(

Anyone know how many you have to do to get the marks/rep?

Strike playlists go on until you quit, there's no end. The marks and rep are awarded as soon as the boss dies, before you go to the rewards screen.

I'm not sure but it may be only level 20+ playlists that award vanguard marks? I can't check as I've hit the cap for the week and so none of them show as awarding marks :p I skipped the level 18 playlist so never really looked at it.

Anyway, if you were doing 20+ playlist and beating the bosses then I'm sure you were getting rep and marks.

Ah, that makes sense thanks. I was only doing L18, so I should have been getting rep.

That said, it's not worth doing for reputation. I can get the same rep for doing a patrol mission in 1/10th the time, and since bosses don't drop much in the way of loot (who really needs glimmer boosters or 250 glimmer items), I may as well stick to patrols or redoing story missions.

I guess the L20+ ones might be worth it for the marks, but the time investment is quite steep for a strike. IMHO they should have a higher chance of loot drops on the final boss, and rarer loot at that.

There is level 18 strike, level 20 strike, level 22 strike, and level 24 strike missions

To earn vanguard marks, you must complete these strike missions – level 18 yields no marks, level 20 yields 2 marks, level 22 yields 4 marks, and level 24 yields 6 vanguard marks.

    Wowsers

Don't you need like 150 for each Legendary Armor piece x 4 so 600 Marks for a full set. 100 level 24 strike missions. Cape as well and weapon to if not given as a drop. People will get worn out.

How many can you do a day or week and is it capped.

That's on top of trying to get to level 2 or 3 for Vanguard reputation.

    Costs are as follows:
    • Sparrow - 175 - Vanguard Rank 3
    • Weapons - 150 - VR3
    • Helmet - 120 - VR2
    • Armor (excluding helmet) - 65 - VR2
    • Class armor - 30 - VR1

So total cost for a full set (excluding duplicates) = 970

It's capped at 100 per week.

So at least 10 weeks of gaming to get the lot.

You won't get marks or rep unless you're level 20.

if your about level 24 or so the level 20 strikes are better as i just tried a level 22 and because my armour was a bit lower it only took one or two hits from a bot and your almost dead...

I did the same strike and we were one short yet it was level 20 and we made it through.. i am assuming unless you are really kitted up then you need to be 4 ranks higher or more

That's what I am thinking. Did my first Strike on Earth and was at the required level and died a lot. Pretty much think I was carried through that one.

Moon Strikes I seemed to fared better at 2 levels above requirements.

Did the Strikes on Venus last night and as I am 4 levels above found it to be a better experience. By the end of the 2 Strikes I gained 2 levels.

Heading for Mars now at level 20. First mission was pretty cruisy with a satellite event being thrown in for good measure being the hardest part.

Maybe it's just me, (or my gear) but the Vanguard Tiger strikes, the level 24 ones. Are super easy, I very rarely die and have never wiped.

This is VERY true. It depends on the mission modifiers. The strike playlists are a lot easier than the weeklys as most don't have crazy modifiers. Strikes generally are not heroic. They may be on hard but not heroic. Heroic modifier makes more enemies spawn. And the "angry" modifier makes it so enemies don't flinch when they take damage.

I took on the weekly with myself, a level 22 warlock at the time, a level 21 hunter, and a level 24 Titan and we got WASTED lol. Gonna have another crack at it soon.

Yeah I tried this with my 25 Warlock, and 2 Hunters (24 and 21 I think) and we could not get past the final fight. The wizards were hard enough and took us many an attempt. It's amazing how nasty that no flinching is!
