We might be getting nether bricks in the coming update.
Pity there isn't a good in-game painting to use for Father (not that I have ever met him in person). For my Mad Scientist's lab on Survival, I used the 2x1 painting of a man

Unless you want to cover an internal wall with your own (kind) interpretation of Father.

In the mean time regular brick will be just fine. I used my small amount of clay to make a stack on edged the front of the building. Think it looks okay.

there are chest out front if someone wanted to put them in there. I could also use a stack of wool as I do want to mess with paintings for wall decor in individual rooms. I may have to put that one in the lobby :) Paintings are actually something I never got around to trying yet.

edit: The 4 buildings of the O am naming after minecraft modmin/DC types. Will have a Sorontar building and a Thermal building. Not sure who else, I suppose Obsi would be #3 and exekewtable for #4?

Hey Misnik - I was thinking about the admin building.....
Not sure of your plan for interior, but do you think you could include a 'Faculty Floor'?
This would be offices that players could claim, decorate as desired and signs placed on the walls beside doors to show our educational titles?

I would be "Prof. Bazz - Antipodean Dirigible Construction - and accidental Deconstruction"!

    C'mon - you know it's a winner!

Great idea! (and great title, though you might need an entire corridor to write it!)

It would be far more interesting than my real university office door.

The top floor of the admin building was going to do all offices with a large Dean's Office at the bottom of the T. Was considering the top floor of each building to have Department Offices as well.

    Sounds fine :)

    Nice - love the ideas.

I've got a stack and a bit of clay bits I'll bring them over when I'm next on, and there is some near the gardens I'll collect too

Was some clay that was donated in there and I had a little from before. after scouring the edges of the water within the border; and some deep water with much drowning. I think the large majority of the server's clay supply is now on the roof of the T.

Hope they adjust the conversion rate of it. 64 clay pieces + 8 coal = 64 bricks = 16 brick blocks. :(

So will still need several stacks spawned at the mods leisure to do the G which is currently rising from the landscape.

a stack or two of wool would also be helpful for decorating.

I have a few stacks of 64 I got from the depths near my house. You can have them.

The main superstructure is all done now. Thanks for all the help. With much searching rivers and lakes enough clay was discovered to finish the T and G with the stone trim idea which also reduced the overall amount of blocks needed.

All that needed now is interior work and deciding on how the crosshairs on the O will actually be. Am mulling over a couple ideas atm that might do the trick well.

Still would like a stack of wool if possible to make painting for blackboards and rooms etc.

Thanks again to everyone who put in time and materials.

That part of the G took several revisions of the structure to get something mostly acceptable. Until see the map am not sure either, though I think it will be fine.

Lava would be interesting :) though atm am thinking something mundane like water/waterfall, Though same design was thinking could do lava instead.

Yeah, I updated the copy of minecraft that the map program gets the images from, but it doesn't seem to have added all the new stuff, just some of it. The program itself may need updating (if there is an update).
