I think it all came down to which software companies gave Sony the rights to give their games away free, im pretty sure sony would have given them some kind of compensation for it though.

Alot of people had all the games on the list so i was quite lucky i only had a couple of them. It would have been nice to have had a choice but i guess it doesnt work like that. The sony plus is a bit of a waste of time for me, all the free games expire when it runs out and i dont online game much with my PS3, i dont really see the benefit of it at all tbh although i do spend most of my time on my pc anyway.

iAgree Plus is a bore. The only benefit is the functionality of downloading patches for games at specific times of the day night. I strongly believe this should be standard to allow people to set and forget. Having to pay for it to be unlocked on the console is plain wrong.

Sony are getting a little greedy of late.

I've noticed the increase in spam as well. I've gotten as many in the last two days as I used to in two weeks.

Phishing email. Would check all the hyperlinks by copy links and paste in to Notepad and see where it's going to take you. I'm getting IRA letters at the moment and an increase in helpfull tablets.

lol well i guess it could have been worse :) After the sony incident it took me about 2 hours to change all my passwords, i never really want to have to go through that again.

I have bought stuff off of PSN contrary to what i said a few weeks ago :) but i now delete all my details after a purchase so that sony dont have hold of them. I looked into buying PSN cards but they dont seem very available over here in the uk. Some stores charge for the cards more then they are worth and since they dont send them by digital download its all very inconvenient.

I suppose its doubtful that sony will fall foul again anyway but somehow i still cant help feeling like ive betrayed my principles :p

Yeap i just delete them in account management after making a purchase. I actually really hope they dont use paypal, that would be much worse, i dont see the sense in being able to delete your details if sony still have access to them anyway. Ive never been happy tbh using my CC over the PS3, at least on the PC i can see the padlock and see that its a secure server, it all seems so casual on a console.

My Paypal account was used recently by someone who wasn't me. I thought it was odd since the password was a random bunch of letters and numbers that I thought I hadn't used for anything else but then realised I used it for my PSN account.

Got it sorted quick though, paypal support were actually really helpful.

Glad you got that sorted Chief thats really really worrying indeed. Nearly everything uses paypal so if that sort of info gets out it could be really nasty indeed. I feel a bit safer since taking out my identity protection. I get a report each month and its really really sensitive, apart from what i have for breakfast everything else is listed.

After the sony incident i changed all my passwords including paypal and steam which are to of the most important ones, i thought maybe i was being a bit paranoid seeing the problems some people have had i dont think i am now.

Gah, glad you found out now mate, probably the only reason i havent forgotten to change a password is that i have everything written down so its impossible for me to let one slip the net.

Our phone rang twice yesterday, the first 0600 they hung up. The second 0700 I got it and it was a company in the US asking me about my travel in the States. I said we were not traveling in the States. The thanked me for my time and hung up.

Over so quick I didn't get enough details to follow up on it.

A little concerned that my info is being used overseas. We no longer have a CC so should not be an issue in that regards.
