I got the crash on first play. Read the forums stuff in earlier post n this thread. Closed steam.
Started heist from the .exe file.
It then did a 15 min update"". (which took about 25 mins lol)
Now plays okay, in single player anyway so far.

So sounds like it's more trouble than it's worth.

... I had only one try so far, because I had not much time yet ...

... even that I got killed at the end of my first try, it was somehow pretty much fun ... I think it will take some time to get used to the game-play ...

... I had a go on "easy" and it was already demanding ... the direction pointer for your next objective is sometimes a bit confusing, especially if you have to navigate over different floor levels ...

... the bot AI seems to be not too bad ... the graphics are average ...

... worth the money, but it seems to be a console port ... the in-game-settings could make you cry ... :)

It's fun playing co-op with 4 players, not sure what you are expecting from a $20 game?

Yeah, fair point. I just felt like I'd need a lot more ritalin to cope with it.

    I'l stick with RO2.

I've had some goes at it now. Twice with 2 players + 2 AI and about 3 or 4 goes at single player.

It's a flawed game for sure, and need's patching, what game doesn't when it comes out these days.

I wouldn't rate the AI as very good personally, there's often enemy standing next to you not shooting at you.

For all that though, it is challenging, intense, and fun. It wouldn't be worthy of a $40 or $50 purchase but at $20 it is priced about right. If they fix it up a bit, it will be an even better buy. I still haven't successfully finished the first heist after the roughly 5 attempts, which is good, being challenging.

I'm a little confused. Are you saying you found it boring / didn't hold your interest? Or are you indicating it requires significant concentration, focus and control?

The biggest problem we are having so far is the lag/ping on who is hosting.
eg If I host the game with 2 players on my home network and a player joins the in game lag is shocking.
We have worked out it is better to get our NZ friend to host and we ( 3 players) join his game.

Both, to be honest. It felt a bit like MW2 on speed. Probably just not my style.

Yeah this is an interesting one.

When I host with a mate, it's not too bad.
When my mate tried to host, the lag was significant and unplayable.

Both in same city, and same ISP, same speed.

I don't think it ever claimed to be in the league of the multi million dollars games like BF3

... it's still plenty of fun ... sometimes a bit frustrating if you play only with AI mates, but I heard that it is pretty good in co-op ... the graphic is a bit out-dated, but hey it's not a 100 buck game ... :)

I bought it, im enjoying it so far. Its a very tough game though, (probably easier in co-op of course) the amount of cops that turn up is mental. The shooting mechanics seem fine and theres a long list of upgrades for each of the 3 roles so it will certainly keep you busy for a while.

... you should try another Heist then the first one first thought ... the first one is already pretty tough, latest at the end when you're trying to escape ... :)
