For those of you who are anticipating Elder Scrolls Online, and who have played the Elder Scrolls game, I highly recommend Morrowind Overhaul.

Skyrim is a great game, and so is Oblivion, both in their own ways. But many would argue Morrowind was always the "heavy hitter" of the series - with more options, deeper rabbit holes to go down and so forth. If you played it, you know what I mean - and it is worth revisiting in near Skyrim level graphics let me assure you.

And if you haven't played Morrowind, you are in for a real treat. The game can be had for next to nothing on Steam or the like and with a little tinkering Morrowind Overhaul just makes it extremely great bang for the buck.

Much, much of what was in Morrowind you will see again in Elder Scrolls Online, and it will deepen the experience of ESO to have kicked around Morrowind some I assure you. Give it a go, it is a great way to spend time while we wait for release :)

Oh, and here is an installation video tutorial which might come in handy:

Only thing I didn't like with Morrowind, starting out with dice rolls to hit something that should literally just fall on your blade. Or shooting an arrow that clearly hits, but is a miss.

Always meant to play it, but never got around to it. Oblivion was the first I dug into (though not too deep).
I have to check this out a bit more. :)

I'm tempted to give this mod a try while waiting for TESO. I have a copy of Morrowind lying around but it's not installed on the current PC. I'm not even sure it will play, but I have nothing to lose by trying.

I booted this up with the overhaul mod but still find the game quiet....dated, and struggle to get into it.

Great find. Morrowind was my favorite game of all time. I started with Arena 20 some years ago. Have been a huge fan of Bethesda for a long time. Very excited about the game.
