    i played the beta and the HC sniper action won me over...not to mention the sound quality on 5.1 surround is fking astonishing.
    Becauase of the way they did the scopes.
    Y
    ou can aim down range , but still see around the scope ...so no more Infront blind spot

    [IMG]

    so im waiting with baited anticipation.....since BFBC2 is just rehasing maps now..and a new expansion is on the way , which means no more new maps...so..

    Back to MOH ...been a long time ...i stopped at MOHAA.
    As if the beta is any indication ...ive just found a new place to be called a dirty sniping bastard.

    Pre-loading it now :D

    Single player and multi player are two separate downloads. If you have bought off steam;

    steam://install/47790

    For single player

    steam://install/47830

    For multi player

    Slap them into a browser, it'll invoke steam and start your pre-load. Unlocked ~3am tomorrow morning I think.

    If you do pre-install it using the above method, don't panic if it still shows up greyed - it'll unlock and all will be good tomorrow :)

    D416, that looks like a red-dot sight, not an ACOG or sniper rifle scope. I'm guessing say the sniper scope still blacks out the rest of your screen while looking down it or at the very least heavily blur it...is that not the case in MOH?

    See IGN gave this a 6.5.... and it's not doing much better on Metacritic either... sigh....

    Here's hoping i haven't wasted my coin on the pre order...

    I was surprised when I saw the review from IGN, I suppose after seeing BFBC2, I was expecting something on par, at least.

    ok.... this is going to sound picky, but how does the background OUTSIDE the scope zoom in with the everything INSIDE the scope? :bigsmile:

    It seems to only work with games that have been released elsewhere first - so the files are available on the server. If it's a worldwide release, you're usually SOL.

    If you go to Steam store and click on MOH's homepage, you'll see;

    Pre-purchase Medal of Honor on Steam

    47790 is the app ID.

    steam://install/47790 is just issuing a command to tell steam to install app 47790. Clearly it doesn't do a check beforehand to see if it's been unlocked in your region. There have been several instances where placing a txt file in the directory with the app ID also unlocks the game for play but I've been reluctant to go that far.

    When I wake tomorrow, the game will have been unlocked and both my SP and MP's should be white (they still appear to not be installed but the files have been downloaded off steam's servers. You can then go ahead and decrypt them and install. :D

    It'll depend on whether you get your value online or not.

    Seems it got panned for its single player short campaign. The beta was the multiplayer engine which is completely different. I've installed the single player portion but I may not even bother to play it.

    MP at the moment was hopefully a stop gap between being able to ditch MW2 and its annoyances and get me through to Black Ops which will likely be my MP shooter of choice for the next year - so it's probably $60 well spent for me.

    hi all....I just bought MOH, and installed yesterday....If anyone wants to add me ign is razorkill12......I have played mp and like it alot...I have not tried single player yet...

    the game is fun so far....the snipers are very rampant in this game, so as soon as you spawn you need to find cover..LOL

    anyways, I'll be posting more here...

    What a bust.

    If you play MP only (like I mainly do) you need to go to singleplayer, tier 1 to be able to enter in your serial so you can play MP.

    My problem is the same in the beta but now worse. Server browser doesn't work but when I matchmake to try and get on some random server, always returns no suitable servers can be found.

    Can Dice please employ someone who knows how to get the most rudimentary aspect of a MP game working?!
