I'm currently playing SWTOR (with my niece and brother 2 days a week) and Marvel Heroes 2015 (with my other brother, but only on weekends). I'm looking to play a new MMO on the days that I don't play with them. What should I try? I've looked at Neverwinter trailers and that looks good, but Terra looks like I'd die from lag. Any suggestions?
Wild star goes f2p soon, had some nice reviews. I'm stuck on a couple of games now, haven't looked for something new for a while.
Tera is one of the best free to play games of recent times. Amazingly fun combat. Great graphics. If you like really cool looking gear you'll like Tera! And NO the lag won't get you killed. PvP might be difficult, but it's certainly not a deal breaker. Another reason why is because it really is free to play. All the new content is completely free and you can play the entire game without ever feeling the need to buy anything. The only things you can purchase are costumes, weapon skins, mounts, and boosters. You can enjoy the entire game without spending a dime. Strongly recommend that game!
Everquest 2 is FTP and they just started two expansion progression servers. It's truly an underrated MMO, we've been having a blast and plan to stay for a while.
Hello Alstead, There's also Firefall which I hear is similar to Tera but unique enough as a MMO Shooter that is F2P likewise. TOG has a small contingent that play regularly each week anywhere from 7 to 10 members. The dev's don't force in game play the paid currency of Red Beans. There's actually several forms of currency in game that are earned by doing dailies or just in regular shootem up game play. The setting is a futuristic Brazil with Copa and the Amazon for the higher levels. Players don't level their avatar but one of 16 battleframes that is similar to 1 of 5 base classes. The back story is deep and the gameplay is tight as a sci-fi shooter. It's something else to consider as well. =============== PS: You could also try this MMO Search Engine to narrow down your search: http://mmo.plus/ Best of Luck.
Good suggestions. I would also add Aion as it has a pretty decent free to play model. I enjoy returning to it once in awhile as it has plenty of content. There is also Lord of the Rings Online.
I played Black Gold pretty heavy for a few months, the steam punk flavor to it is pretty cool. Fallen Earth kept me hooked for more than a year after launch and it gets installed on every new PC ive had since launch and i still load it up now and then. ATM im not sure if you have to buy the client for The Secret World but if its a free download its a must-play just for the story/acting if nothing else.
What server are you guys on? I just downloaded the game yesterday and made a priest; she's only level 4. I can make somebody new to be on the same one.
