Not 100% what to call this, its deifantly RPG, and will have MMO values to it as well. Its another early access that promises a lot, but seems to have delivered a decent amount from what I can tell so far. It also has a single player version, with up to 64 they promise private server multiplayer. But they want to make an MMO world for it as a well, wich will be always ongoing, and well more massive.

Here is a trailer for it that got my attention:

Oh it has the whole do something to level it system, with traits tied to the skills, so mining makes you stronger etc. Also unlike Rust and Dayz has a morality system, if you get below -50 alignment you become flagged forever more as a criminal, and its not longer bad to attack, or rob you. It has piety system as well you can pray for more good points once a real life day. The data will be server side not client to slow down hackers as well.

Yeah the "Your Own" series is private server only, but from what I've read you get a free character slot on the MMO version once it gets finished. Anyway this game looks really interesting to me but I would want to have a fairly decent group of friends to play with so that it really shined. I'm interested, is anyone else in this game?

Yeah I broke down and got it not bad, its not hard to make a comunity with it though was on an awsome server a min a ago but it went down. Just put the server exp gain at defualt 1, and you weed out the johny go fasters and pvp kids. Before it went down we had guys dragging trees to a vally, pig pile of food, and a few learning to mine diging tunnels north of the site they wanted to build a town. Defiantly be awsome to get some togers or a tog server going for this one.

What server was this, is it one you're going to be on frequently? I wouldn't mind picking it up to play if you found a good server with some good guys on it. I'd like to get a TOG following and server up at some point but the interest level doesn't seem to be too high right now.

Edit: I went ahead and picked it up

While it looks cool, I'm already backlogged on sandboxes that I've thrown money in to but never actually got around to playing (Yes The Forest, I'm looking at you...)

Looks interesting. I don't think I'll buy into it this early on though. Especially since they are introducing a GM mode next week.

Might check into it a few months later though.

It's a lot like a better looking, Medieval version of Xsyon without the monthly charge.

Maybe for you, so heads up I took the bullet and got a dedicated server, it isn't a TOG one, and I messed up and did Chicago instead of California so ping will not be good for Aussies probably... If you get this game and can handle a Chicago server ping, let me know its locked down right now with password till we sort out some stuff, but I will give you the password. Its 64 100 animal server so going public would mean 50 people piling in causing chaos, setting up the first village hope to go public soon, probably tomorrow night.

Then we can have random newbs show up asking 50 questions, and hopefully not make random crap around my first town and what should be the capital I hope. Want to see more villages spring up, and already got a second village being made by some people built in almost secret only found it while hunting moose.

This game looks great, but I almost fear that it will run into the same issues that Rust has, and will end up chasing me away from it.

I've been looking into this one too, I'll have to check out the Chicago server ping and see if it affects the game

My server just went public Lordbane Dedicated, and its nothing like rust, you can't cheat minus the gm holy shit gm powers are cheating if you wish to abuse those, but only the admin can hand that out. Has morality system so kill people and permanently be kill on sight, you can knock people out though, but attacking people marks you criminal with a timer letting people band up to kill you with out being punished. A bad gm could "pardorn' though but to do that on any one but yourself you have to access the database via a client and its a lot of work, and forget to log out before you close the client and bam the database acts odd as it thinks an admin is in still, so some things like my damn leather rack won't work because it thinks the file is being looked at for the put on rack command.

All the data is server side though so like 98% of rusts issues with cheaters are busted, you can't script kidy hack since you can't touch the data files only an admin can. Also you can't destroy buildings yet, so if you get a house not a shack you claim it and shut the door no one can touch your crap inside but a gm that can fly like a ghost... And only way to destroy buildings now is with gm power can't even destroy old crap, sadly makes me the janitor I had to pick up a lot junk before it went live and make a drop bag to delete it all, just stuff people made to grind.

This game is really built around teamwork though, a house needs a lot of stuff, with a hand full of people you knock one out in a couple hours, its how everything is there is skill caps so you have to focus on what you want to do or be jack of some trades master of zilch. For US timezone we got a full time carpenter, farmer (that is me), and blacksmith. We got all the stuff you need to do that out in the open minus nice tools, we got a forge in newb slum with unclaimed shacks, a blacksmith shop in the part finished walled town, workbench in slum, herbalist shop in town that acts like an alchemists table inside, carpenter shop. And I got tanning tubs, and racks in the slum, and in my farm, which you need to make leather, and soak flax so you can spin it to make linen cloth or rope.

just picked this up tonight, going to join a small closed PVE server til i get the grip of things. Appears the spitting image of Wurm Online but better so I'm really excited for it. Hope it doesn't turn into another Rust! Appears that it's ahead of that curve already tho.

    Hiya's

Was looking at this game then forgot about it after I started playing Archeage.
Any hints and advice for some one that does not pvp can you still do things like gathering/harvesting/mining trading especially.

Even though I do not PvP I really enjoyed Mortal online, and am even considering going back to it if nothing else crops up.

Going to look up some forums and see what the costs are.

Any advice will be most appreciated.

I'm really enjoying this game despite some of the buggy gameplay. I've been thinking about setting up an Australian server but just haven't been sure on the numbers.

If TOGers are interested and some could help with GMing then I'm happy to get something going.

Had this game for a couple of weeks now. It has a lot of potential. With modding, who's to say you can't progress tech trees past early medieval. Playing with some other friends on an Aussie server. The server is set up to learn the game and have fun without any griefers. Plan is that once we are set up we can start wailing on each other. Can't wait till mounts and lances are available. Looking forward to jousting.

I've had it now for a few days what surprised me and like is that I can start my own world to practice on. Made some very bad graphic glitches trying to tunnel so no worries it does not effect anyone else:).Practising levelling an area for a building at the moment and possibly attempt a small harbour/fishing village.

For anyone interested in this It is on sale for the next 6 days at Bundle Stars for USD$26.79 (about AUD$33)

    Life Is Feudal: Your Own

USD$40 on steam certainly turned me off, and even USD$35 on the dev's website, but at just over USD$25 I think I will take the plunge :)

Ok looks like you can save a few bucks by purchasing it from Nuuvem, as they have it on special at the moment too, only slightly cheaper. (just under AUD $29)
