So, is there anyone here that will be trying out Horizons? I will certainly give it a go but probably not until the new year.

From the gameplay movies and FAQ it sounds pretty good and I'd have to say my heart will always be with the fantasy genre.

Plus, you can play Dragons ... wohoo :D

I haven't read up on this yet...but if you can actually be a dragon..

    ...why won't everyone be one?

I mean, it would be like SWG you could start off as a jedi..wouldn't EVERYONE be one?

Yes, I suspect everyone will create a Dragon character but I doubt everyone would play it as their 'main'. I will certainly create one but I'm more inclinded to have a Warrior/Mage as my main character.

The summoning spells looked awesome from what I have seen and this is what I really miss in SWG. Cool spell effects...

Hmm, if I remember correctly, I was checking out screenshots of horizons and the graphics looked no better than original EQ.

Fair enough. I havn't seen Lucin itself so I cannot really compare. It looks good from the gameplay movies and the gameplay sounds good so I'll give it a go :)

SWG has rasied the bar on graphics and I don't think Horizons quite matches that standard. I would expect EQ2 to have better graphics than both...

As far as gameplay, from what I have read and what I see in the forums about the upcomming mmorpg, it seems highly anticipated and a lot of people are looking forward to playing the game. Graphics hold some weight but it is by far what makes the game fun. When I saw EQ for the first time I thought even then the graphics were way out of date, but I still played and had a blast.

Doc, are you talking about EQ2 there or Horizons? I have followed Horizons for quite a while. When they lost their CEO (David Allen?) I think the game would be vapour ware so I am really impressed that they stuck with it.

Looks like the launch date is the December 10th. You guys will have to let me know if the game is any good. If they haven't fixed some stuff in SWG I'll be very bored with it by then (and licking my 75.00 wound).

So you might be able to count me in too...least till EQ2 comes out...if it lives up to what it is supposed to be.

Thanks for the info...I sure with their site had more specific information on the character creation and skills and whatnot...guess we'll just have to wait and see.
