So who's thinking about playing? Might be good to get a TOG group together.
Just picked it up this morning, myself and Mara will be playing but dont have a stable internet connection yet. May be on/off periodically. Been looking forward to this release for a while now.
Looks like a lot of fun with some friends on TS but completely painful if you have to play with randoms.
There's a group of us in TF2 div playing this.
Ive been out of the FPS scene for a while now but Evolve has got me interested for those that have it is it worth getting?
yeah worth it, having lots of fun with it - although I wont buy it for oz full price @ $79.99 got mine for $34 from nuuvem
Decat you have a link for that I cant find it on Nuuvem
Evolve na Nuuvem

I buy using hola extension set to brazil on chrome and just copy paste the code into steam (don't need vpn)
Dang already got it from ozgameshop
So I've bought it and am installing, but where in TS are the players?
I'm interested in playing evolve with some TOG members as well. Going to give the evolve its first run this evening.
Post up a short spiel on what you think of it. I'm interested in the concept but don't know of 5 people in TOG that will be playing it. As a result I haven't bought it yet.
Will do. I played a lot of left 4 dead and left 4 dead 2. I hope they managed to capture some of the magic from l4d.
I've been playing offline to get a feel for it. Its frantic and can be difficult to keep track of things. I think you would want 4 people to play in a team with as hunters to go though all the leveling up and just to make it a fun game. I can see how it would be good with mates but horrible with random shouty 12 year old's.
I'm enjoying it. Most of my hours have been solo, but I am starting to get into multiplayer now I have unlocked more than the basic characters. If you can imagine L4D2, 4 vs tank on steroids then you have a start point of what its like. There is much to learn about the environment, and each of the maps gives its own set of constraints. I love that its not linear- play can go up, left, right, back, in circles and even down in some places. Choke points and wildlife can be used by both sides and I am looking forward to getting into it with some toggers
There is like a graph of average number of players remaining on steam. 33k to 3k, worldwide, in a month. GG
Any indication why the drop off is as great as it is
All I can suggest is that in order to access the better charcters and skills you have to level up much like COD or BF, but the target audience is much the same as the L4D who are used to using their brain and map knowledge rather than extra skills. having one monster also reduces the team play aspect from L4D, but its much more of a team game than COD so th etwo groups of people both have reasons not to like it.
Any steam group going for this yet? I have little clue how to start one but can give it a crack if you'd like.
Myself I'm loving this game, it is a bit sad that the player numbers are that low so quick its one of the rare games that can actually get a bit of adrenaline going with me, I can come out of a close game as the monster with my hands shaking a little. Problem is for every great game you have, you have a bad one where one hunter out of your four man hunter team basically stuffs it for your team.
I have hit the level cap, so luckily most of the hunters at that level know their business, but unfortunately the monster players also really know their business. They are still working on balancing, they have not got it completely right but are getting alot closer, ie the Wraithe, their last attempt was a good attempt but one skill is stupidly OP and a gamewrecker.
I don't think this game is for everyone, but it's my favorite game to come out for years.
Planning to...but i still play at l4d2
