Anyone else enjoying the multiplayer? Still in Alpha but the potential is there.
I have the game but have not yet considered the multilayer, it is definitely a game I have lost many hours to
Really same concern how ist?
So anyone playing multiplay?
Have been enjoying the MP since day one and that is where I drive nowadays. Only use SP when the annoying 'no jobs' glitch happens after certain updates.
The MP mod is improving day by day, with an ear to the community. Is there any other way to drive now?...
Lost many hours to that game & bound to lose many more!
Apparently, this game is coming to the west!
Oh wow. I just got ETS 2 yesterday. Had no idea there was a multiplayer mod.
Three years of ETS2 and still addicted. 10% MP but 90% SP. Great game either way but the mods, only usable in SP (other than winter mod) really makes this game shine.
American Truck Sim is going live on Feb 3rd..should I wait for that or is it part of Eurotruck Sim 2?
American Truck Simulator (ATS) is the same game engine (with a few updates) but pretty much the same game but with a new area (California, Nevada and soon as a free DLC Arizona). Unfortunately the games will not be linked (you cannot transfer from one to the other).
Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) has a ton more content, with the two DLCs "Going East" and "Scandinavia". Add to that mods such as Promods (doubles the map and adds a huge amount of detail to the existing map) , RUS Map (adds Western Russia and works with Promods) and Truck Sim which adds more of Western Europe (Western France, Spain, Portugul), Italy, Greece and North Africa (does not work with Promods).
ETS2 also has a multiplayer mod which has a very large population (several servers with 2300 drivers on each at the peak times of day).
ATS will, someday, also have these additions but it is well worth buying ETS2 and the DLC. You will really enjoy both.
Don't forget; ATS is only 20.00 on release so it is a great deal. Content is low right now but it will grow.
Having both titles in your library is not at all a bad thing.
ETS2 is often on sale via Steam. I bought a mega pack (all ETS2 content plus some older games) for 16.00 during the Christmas sale.
My new Man Cave, with my motion simpit playing ETS2
Have finished up 4 deliveries so far. I used to drive truck as a teen during summer so this is coming back quick..
Where is the best place to get mods for the game? I've already signed up at World of Trucks too.
Getting the mods for ETS2 is problematic. Most of them are uploaded to dodgy host sights. The SCS forums are the best place to look. Promods and Rusmaps can be downloaded free without hassle from the Promods website. The MP mod is also hassle free from their site.
SCS has mentioned that they want to incorporate the steam workshop to help keep Downloader safe.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 mods, ETS 2 mods
This is the best site I have found with minimal issues.
I'm liking the MP servers (when they're full) although the lack of AI traffic makes it quite easy on trips, but knowing everyone else is a "real" driver is neat.
This is PHENOMINAL! Kudos to you for having such a great setup. I love ETS2 and should play it more.
Revisiting an old thread. ATS + ETS 2 with mods is the most relaxing driving experience I've ever had. Truck on!
Nice find, I was looking for a thread just like this.
I have been truckin' since day one and still play ETS2 Multiplayer - would be great to organise a TOG convoy.
If anyone is interested in running with Multiplayer, I'd be fine endorsing and assisting where I can since I'm very passionate about ETS2 and ATS.
Personally I prefer single player as I find MP fairly limited with mods, this is more personal preference, show me there's demand for a convoy and I'm sure we can make it happen .
