Probably give this one ago, i use to play every single mmo that was released but im getting more fussy these days. Being a long standing player of the series though and from what ive read it looks like its worth playing. I just hope they do better fixing bugs with the online version then they do with their single player versions.
E S I even enjoyed the bugs too! SKYRIM SPOILER ALERT: You could go to a town, into the Inn and steal their kettle. Take it to the outside wall, place it in a corner of the wall and jump into it and wind up in between the map motes. You then wandered around and found a large gap in the map and jumped in under the map in fly mode. By flying around under the buildings, you could steal everything in town in all the buildings and get rich. Save game/exit. Restart back above ground a rich man. Too bad it didn't apply in the real world..... Miz
The best exploit I remember in Skyrim was putting the bucket over the shopkeepers head, and just ripping everything off right in front of them.
In the interview very good and detailed interview with Paul Sage (video linked on post on page 3), he touched a bit on crafting. An extract from this website (Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) Interviews: Paul Sage Talks Beta, Crafting, and Progression - MMORPG.com) I for one love this idea. I am a dedicated crafter and revel in knowing that the more time I spend on it, the better the gear I'll be able to create. Also, I'm not one for PVP, but this PVP system actually has me excited about trying it out. So far, I'm impressed with almost every aspect of the design. Anxiously waiting to be accepted for Beta, or the official launch so that I can finally play an MMO that's worth while playing!
Interview with the game director. The thing I like the most no punishment for helping somebody in trouble, both of you get full credit for the kill. 'Elder Scrolls Online' interview: The beta, first person and Skyrim - Gaming Interview - Digital Spy
Ok I read the interview, it was a very informative. So here is the plan, we take control of much as we can and everyone agrees to crown me Emperor! Mwahahaha.....haha.!
The graphics look very nice, between this and NW Ill have to work on my IRL Time management lol. Is thee any info on their business plan yet? IE monthly sub? Id be more than happy to buy the game and play like GW2. But I have a feeling this one is going to be a sub.
Personally I still prefer the subscription model, but I think people like myself will soon be in the minority as more and more people get used to F2P and B2P My main beef with F2P (not that I think this game will go that way initially) is that it attracts more riffraff when the consequences of getting banned are lower and creating a new account to continue trolling or cheating is only a few mouse clicks away.
I only really like to have one Sub game at a time. So if it is that will be fine. I wont have time for more than to MMO's. I may only have time for Neverwinter lol.
I believe it will be a sub, becoz if it was B2P or F2P they would of told us by now. I personaly i perfer B2P or F2P. However will most probaly give this game a go if it is a sub. Ebonheart Pack is my alliance preference
I am excited. The only other game to get this excited was Skyrim. I have no idea what the costs of other monthly sub based MMO's are but i am prepared to pay $20 a month.
The standard seems to be $15 per month at the moment, if you only pay month by month. Most offer discounts for subbing for 3, 6 or 12 months at a time. My money would be on this game following a similar model.
I too am hoping that they do this game well. It has been a good series of games. I think they have a good base for an online game. Loved 3 sided wars since the DAOC days.
I plan on having toons in the daggerfall convenant and the ebonheart pact, a breton battlemage and a dunmer or argonian archer/assassin type with illusion skills. I probably will roll an aldmeri dominion toon eventually even if just to see those lands which we haven't seen in any of the games so far.
I've signed up for the Beta and I'm hoping it goes online soon. If they wait til summer, I'll be on the road and unable to play. Right now I'm playing Skyrim and loving it. So much more to it than the average game. I've played a lot of MMO's and found most of them to be too simple minded. I like a bit of an intellectual challenge to my games.
