The roadmap for Dual Universe has just been updated. Alpha 3 will be arriving in January 2020.

Oh! I just noticed that there may not be any wipe between Beta (1) and Release! From the NovaQuark forums:
Q: No Wipe after Beta? Need for a detailed explanation and how it will be handled.
A: We will try to avoid making any wipes after beta launch, unless we are forced to do so, due to a major issue or game imbalance.
The idea here is to avoid any significant time investment for the player to be lost when he/she invests hundreds of hours in creating amazing contructs, as we are aware it can be very frustrating and/or discouraging. There is also the idea that having content already in-game made by players at official release might be more attractive for players who don’t necessarily have a pioneer/explorer state of mind.
On the other hand, there may be some important revamps planned ahead that could force us to reconsider this position. If that's the case, we will try and minimize any losses of construct designs by the players. We will make our final decision on that topic a bit before Beta Launch. In any case, we will ensure that blueprints made during the earlier phases of development will enable players to keep all the designs they made before official launch (there might be a need to tweak some Lua scripts and/or "re-wire" the Elements between them, due to gameplay changes).
So this means that the optimal time to join will be immediately in Beta 1 (coming in "Summer of 2020" according to the top post), so that you can get your skills training and make a push for grabbing territory with your Orgs (Guilds) before the monthly subscription kicks in at Release. Obviously the game won't be feature complete in Beta (again see post #1), but we don't really want to be 6months behind at release...
