    OMFG YEAH!!!! :D:D:D

Scuttlebut is that Borderlands 2 will be announced shortly, according to Eurogamer.

If anyone out there hasn't played Borderlands yet, you need to rethink your life and go get it now. It's on a short list as one of my favorite games of all time.

OH LORD! (to quote a great piece of related music)

Ditto Reoh. Borderlands is right there at the top of my favourite shooters ever. I was amazed to talk to a couple of people that DIDN'T like it recently!!

What was wrong with them; Some sort of brain damage I presume, perhaps they were dropped on their head as a baby... a lot?

Well of course Zero Punctuation ripped it a new one, but that's what he always does. Amazes me that people beg him to review a game and then act surprised when he makes fun of it.

    WAIT WHAT!?!!
    fo real?

as much as i do love borderlands 1, there are some serious things i hate about it, which stem from the fact that it was a console port.

Actually when it was still in its infancy of version 1, someone made a third party program that enabled you to edit the cfg with a nice interface in almost every aspect, motion blur, fov changes, ducking, zooming toggle, etc.
I managed to make the game amazing with it. Then they patched the game and it wrote over the .cfg and stopped the program from working, and since the author abandoned the project i was forever saddened.

Awesome, it's been rumored for a while now.
    I'm certainly looking forward to a BL2 :)

Actually Hell Scream you do make a good point in that the console port UI was utterly attrocious for a PC title. But the game was great enough I'd forgotten that annoyance. ;)

i have to say Reoh, i too have overcome my hatred for them, i even feel the niggling urge to play it now (i think its a "Loot" fetish). i just wish i could have a good game online with people with a nice low latency, or a good o'l fashion LAN so i can punch the guy that takes the purples ;)

    Interesting news.

I have always wanted to play borderlands but never bothered with it as it seemed like a multiplayer game not single player.

Hopefully i will get a chance to play this one though.

Single player i quite enjoyed except that it wasn't difficult enough...

due to having a mouse and keyboard made the game far to easy after carrying the console difficulty across. Slight oversight.

It's not "multiplayer" as in "PvP" - it's seamless drop-in/drop-out co-op so you can play the game solo, or you can play it with others (same game, same quests, no restarts, same persistent skills, etc.) - your choice.

Remember to disable aim-assist which annoyingly was on by default.

I'm pretty sure i did, but being a seasoned RA3 player, and choosing Mordekai as my first character, it became pretty much a case of this:

Yeah that seamless solo / co-op play was awesome and seamless. It's still a great game solo (I did the last couple DLC's solo). Wish you could turn up the solo difficulty another notch though.

Oh thanks for the input, i did know it was not a pvp type multiplayer experience but i thought the game would be pretty lame played solo.

I may go out and try grab it and give it a whirl now. TY

Interesting stuff, sounds promising. Apparently Game Informer will be revealing some more info so I'm going to drop this here. For the moment, the possible "extra links" are grayed out.

I expect a lot of the communities wishes will be addressed in B2 given how well Gearbox did with the DLC. We asked for a common storage space between toons and we got it. We asked for more vechiles, we got them. We asked to for better ways to scale content, we got it. We asked for repeatable kick as bosses, we got, well, one or two.

Armour/Gear that changes the appearance of characters and more customisation options were a given. Good to hear about the AI. I wonder if the resource system and weapons overhaul means there might be some kind of crafting/gear-modding system in the game - that would be cool.

Would also like to see more PvP options and a better fast travel system - anything using a map would instantly be a massive improvement.
