I was starting to get worried that this game had been cancelled, as their website hadn't changed in half a year and the developer hadn't mentioned it either. nothing in the news etc. Well they have a new website now, thats a bonus. This is a sci-fi space game with almost no details released. There's a nice trailer though and the game does look breathtaking.

Interesting, looks like only ship combat though. It is pretty.

A quick mini-review having gone over the website.

A Sci-fi ship based combat game featuring cutting edge graphics and action style space shooter combat mechanics. Ships will be customisable through modifications of various systems (which themselves can be tinkered with). You won't be leaving your ship, at least not at launch.

They story is developed by Michael Marrak, according to wikipedia a german scifi and horror writer. There seems to be two factions battling for control, the Tyi who use cybernetic augmentations and the Genides who favour genetic manipulation, both trace their hereditary back to humans. There's also a third Restorers faction which I think may be the pve mega bosses, the ancient threat foretold about in the teaser trailer. The game also has the ever popular 'achievements' to unlock and brag about.

Clans will be able to build stations, and modifty them to suit their individual needs. They will be able to fight over resource stations. PvP is supposedly a big factor in the game, although the presence of the restorer's hints at a pve aspect as well.

Yeah, lets hope it just doesn't turn out to be the equivalent of Age of Conan in space at launch.

This game would be worth a look, along with Global Agency and Fallen Earth

A much needed VIDEO release from Black Prophecy. Starts off slow, showing some basic features (ship construction, friends, chat, etc) and then ramps up to showcase some live action fighting, including a section where it looks like the player was controlling a "turret" of a much larger vessel.

Awesomely dark and gritty sci-fi imagery there. It defiantly licks Jumpgate in terms of eye-candy but whenver I look at this game it feels like somehting is missing -- I just can't quite put my finger on it.

    Information.

We know so little about the game, this was one of their biggest reveals since admitting its a space game. lol. Elsewise, we have no idea about game mechanics etc.

Damn, that's a massive commitment for a new IP. Whoever's funding that has to have brass balls.

I find it quite ironic, that the majority of symphonical work these days seems to be not in the performing arts, or even movies, but in the gaming industry. ;)

Gaming, "High class art" in a new form? =P
