Is Archeage still going ahead? Seems to have vanished a little.

It's moving along nicely! They are just taking their time to get it right. I had an opportunity to play with the Asian version for a while and it was very cool. Tops on my 'eventually coming' MMO list.

I've asked politely and even begged to help TRION test their localization of the game...but all I get is silence. I would have thought I would at least get a "soon™" letter or somethng but nothing.

I helped them during the Defiance development...even driving to their studios to help with in-game focus testing & help when their Devs were at gaming events world-wide. I guess that didn't/doesn't mean anything these days.

    Oh well....TQQdles™

Their Archerage rage on some forums about how long its taking.

Theirs a couple Korean mmo's that are about to over take Archeage. Bless online and Blade and soul.

Something not right @ Trion with this localisation, I think they are trying to do it as cheaply as possible. Its taking far to long, and risks losing fans of Asian mmo's to other titles.

I've been waiting for ArcheAge for a while too, I was even tempted to download the Russian beta version with the English patch but decided against it. I've read that they're getting closer to localizing the game, but I agree; this is taking way too long.

I pulled the trigger and did that, the game is fantastic its just a pity the development seems to be going in completely the wrong direction reverting to a grinder and away from being a sandbox and with development of the sandbox area at endgame stalling. Plus the fact of Trion's appearing to completely mismanage the game.

I´ve been following Archeage for a long time since it was my great hope to play a real good sandbox (besides EVE Online, need something to relax from that one). But with time passing and info about changes in gameplay I´ve pulled the plug on this one, something just don´t feel right about the reluctance to get it released in West.
My hope goes to other asian mmo´s in a hope they won´t mess it up and deliver a good sandbox-game cause there aint many out there.

Trion has really missed the boat here. They needed to push for a release now while the market is empty.

    And ArcheAge Livestream... Twitch

Also, in their live stream from GDC of the game as it exists in Friends & Family testing... They announced that to participate in Alpha testing, it will cost $200. Now I remember long ago when testing was kinda of a "free testing" to companies. Now it is "pay-2-test" version? Personally, I CAN support pay-to-test only in crowd funded projects...not triple-A production studios charging that amount. Of course, you'll get the game included in that amount but still...

Looks like I can't afford to test the game so I'll have to wait until release...it is slated to be a Free-2-Play game.

Confirmed 2014 release which is great news. That Twitch feed, the graphics are fantastic. That water is the best I've seen in any game.
