Hello all. I'm floating in to play PlanetSide with you. I'm a U.S. resident - Oklahoma, 26 years old, and I'm a medical student and research tech. I live with my wife, two puppies, and a cat that I sometimes forget I own. I'm a veteran BF1942 player who never got around to joining a team, although I often wish I had. I feel like I've missed something by just playing the public servers. For right now though, my interest is in PlanetSide, and I look forward to giving a good effort for the team! Jonathan
Hey JXai! Welcome mate! If you can resolve the time difference we play Battlefield 1942 on the local ladder here in Australia
Welcome JXai. Quick question though.. how does one enuciate "JXai"? Might as well clear that up, before Cailith et. al. mangles it beyond all recognition on TeamSpeak.
Welcome to the fold mate. I have one wife, two dogs, two cats and four birds so I guess we got somethin' in common.
Hi JXai, welcome to TOG, I received your email, I trust that GnR has taken good care of you already. I'll add you to the members group, in the mean time please read the FAQ and about on the main site. Cheers and see you in PlanetSide!
Welcome JXai. Can I make a guess that you pronounce it with a silent X? Like Jai? Don't keep us in suspense. :?: (1 wife, 2 kids, 2 dogs, 2 rats, 1 bird + occasional rescued Oz native wildlife)
Good to see you made it. I wasn't sure what part of the world you are from but I know now! Welcome, and I see Father has taken care of everything already so ignore my email Father. I live in Canada with my pregnant wife, 2 kids, 2 more kids, and 1 more kid. 5 kids, 1 on the way. No pets required.
Thanks for the welcome, gents! It's good to meet another group of gentlemen (and ladies of course, since I believe there are some?) on the internet. I'm a long time member of Band of Brothers, a club dedicated to the Combat Mission wargames, and it is the only club/forum that I've ever hit 1000+ posts on. Who knows if this will be the second...but it seems like there are good guys here, and I appreciate that. As for the pronunciation of my handle "JXai" - no one in the 8 years that I have used it has EVER asked me how to pronounce it. So you will all be the first to know. When I was in high school 10 years ago, I had an impulse to write short stories and distribute them to my friends. They tended toward the darker side and were sometimes violent or profane. Because I didn't want the administration of the school to "catch" me with them, I used the pen name "Jonathan Xai" "J" stands for my first name - Jonathan, and when I think of the handle, I simply pronounce "Jay". Then, the second part is "Zie" like "High" or "Die". Whenever I say it in my head, it is "Jay-Zie" with the emphasis on the J...so almost completely two words in one. Now you know! Thanks for asking!
Welcome JXai, I think you'll find that you will fit right in here I have only been a TOGer for the past week (almost) and I love it, enjoy your stay. Cheers
